Users are required to log in/out using their district assigned accounts. Users are to follow district policies regarding computer use. The Local Area Network (LAN) may not be available for use on those days that the district technician is scheduled to work on the district’s network. These days can generally be identified by going to the district website at http://cardinalcountry.net and looking at the announcements. System maintenance may take place at these times, preventing access or making loss of data possible without warning to the user.

The district designated operator (SYSOP) will have unlimited access to the LAN and its accounts for maintenance purposes. For this reason all users need to understand the information on the LAN (including e-mail accounts) is not private.
