2. All words vs. Subject searching

a. All Words gives you more results than subject searching.

b. If you must use more than one word, choose “Boolean”.

3. Simple

a. When you know exact title or author.

b. Your search term is one-word long.

c. You do not want to limit your search at all.

4. Boolean

a. When you know a couple words in the title that are not necessarily next to each other.

b. When your search terms are more than one-word long.

c. When you want to limit your search. For example, you might limit your search to only fiction books, only reference books, only videos, etc.
